Frances and I seriously had a giggle over this book as I was designing the characters and the scenes. It’s great having authors involved in this playful stage before diving into the nitty-gritty refining. Since it’s got a bunch of illustrations (!) my contribution to the vibe and humour of the book was critical in making it truly engaging for the readers. My love of capturing emotions definitely helped make this book a hit with its young audience. Lots of giggles.
