When a dear friend of mine lost their beloved dog recently, and I could see that the loss was immense, so I decided to draw a little cartoon in order to comfort them. She said she cried tears of joy when she read it, and yes, it did make her smile in the gloom.
It seems like a strange gift honestly, to draw a cartoon about death, but yet it can offer so much comfort. Cartoons have an extraordinary power to communicate, and are great when words fail.
If you’ve lost a pet or know someone who has then maybe this is a great way to remember that special little animal that will be missed so much. If you’d like to commission a panel cartoon like the one below or a portrait like the one above, then just get in touch!
