☆ Congratulations! You have written a story. Let's make it into a book!↓
I work with Indie authors like you and offer a variety of services which takes your manuscript and transforms it into a fully illustrated book. Easy!😜
It’s hard to find someone to care about your project as much as you do, but by talking to another creative with a complementary skill you soon see that it’s possible. I always try to get the best result out of every project I work on, otherwise what is the point?!
So what’s involved? By chatting to an experienced illustrator (me) you will build your understanding of how to get your book realised. I offer consultancies where I answer all your ‘how do I do this?’ questions and show you examples along the way. To start this journey I recommend a quick 15 minute discovery call ( free) and then after that you can book a creative consultancy to have a more detailed evaluation of your project. All costs of which are deducted off any commissioned book work.
If your book isn’t quite finished yet – see here! 😀
Here’s what others say about me.

“Selecting Dotti Colvin to illustrate my first book was undoubtedly one of the wisest decisions I have ever made. She is a gifted artist who cares. Her ability to interpret and execute my vision was remarkable. This takes a special sensitivity and awareness which exceeded my expectations. Her professionalism and wealth of experience is a rare find.”

UNFINISHED BOOK? Read on...
Maybe your book isn't finished yet.. here are 3 good reasons to talk to an illustrator BEFORE you finish it.
1. Planning ahead...
They say a picture can say a thousand words. Maybe I can save you a few! Before finishing your book it’s good to have a chat to an illustrator so you understand how to prepare your book for this adventure. Maybe a picture won’t save you a thousand words but it can cut descriptive paragraphs in half.
2. Meet your protagonists!
If you aren’t ready to go into full on production, it’s still possible to visualise your main characters, especially your protagonist. This process can actually inspire you to write more, believe it or not, as your characters start to become REAL.
3. Crowdfunding.
By showing characters or a few finished pages on a crowdfunding platform such as Kickstarter, you can great a strong presentation to raise funds to finish your book.
